Mid 911 Register Run to Parnassus Function Centre, Drouin East

All Mid 911 Register Members, G series owners, and other PCV Members are invited to participate in our first post-pandemic register run of 2020 to the Parnassus function centre and restaurant in West Gippsland.

This run takes us south east through Koo Wee Rup, Lang Lang and Poowong with morning tea at Loch. (Café selection in Loch yet to be finalised).

The second part of the run takes us into the wilds of Kongwak, Kurumburra and culminates with 3 course limited selection lunch. With superb views across the Gippsland Hills we will have a private function room with bar facilities. A selection of locally grown specialty products will be available to purchase.

Lunch will consist of three courses. The restaurant specialises in local products. A selection of locally produced wines will be available for tasting and purchase. Note from this venue it is only 3.5km back to the Princes Highway and a further 0.5 km to the Freeway entrance for your return journey to Melbourne, typically 1- 1.5 hours.

Date:  Sunday, 6th December 2020

Meeting Location:  Hungry Jacks/ KFC, 1/9 Belgrave – Hallam Rd, Hallam. (Cnr. Princes Highway and Belgrave- Hallam Road, Hallam.)

Meeting Time:  9.45 am. for a 10.15 briefing. Departure at 10.30

Morning Tea:  Café (or cafes!) in Loch, yet to be finalised.  Food and drinks to your own account.

Lunch Venue:  Parnassus Function Centre, Drouin East.

Cost:  $72 per person.  Includes three-course lunch, self-serve coffee and tea. Menu selections to be confirmed by each attendee at time of booking. Shared entree, 3 choices for main and dessert to choose from.

Deadline:  5pm Friday November 27th unless sold out prior

Refunds:  No refunds after the deadline unless your position can be filled.

A selection of Assorted breads to be shared: Tomato bruschetta, Mushroom goats cheese bruschetta, Garlic herb & cheese bread 

Main meal

Slow cooked Beef brisket - served with seasonal vegetables and roasted chat potatoes with gravy 

Parnassus parmigiana - served with chips and salad 

Beer battered fish - served with chips and salad 

Dessert 

Freshly baked apple Strudel - served with cream 

Warm Sticky date pudding - served with cream 

Caramel cheese cake 

 

NOTICE TO PARTICIPANTS:

This event is being run under the auspices of the Porsche Club of Victoria. It is expected that drivers will adhere to the road rules and will drive in a safe and courteous manner.

COVID-19 REQUIREMENTS AT SOCIAL RUNS

The following regulatory and hygiene practices will be required of all attendees at Social Runs (including Register Runs), until further notice:

Government requirements

Federal, State, Territory and Local Public Health guidelines are required to be followed in the running of all Social Runs.  

Monitoring

All attendees, including entrants and officials are required to pre-register for the event; noting the limit on permitted numbers. All attendees are encouraged to use the “COVIDSafe App”. A list of registered attendees and officials will be provided to Venue(s) Staff. Only authorised attendees will be allowed access into Venues.

Staff at Venues may be equipped with thermometers to test each and every attendee to guard against entry of possible carriers of COVID-19 Virus. Anyone with a raised temperature will not be allowed entry into a Venue. Please co-operate with staff at Venues and any directions from club officials.

Hygiene practices:

Appropriate signage, where provided, throughout Venues must be adhered to in all instances. Reminder public address announcements will be made reminding attendees to practice appropriate hygiene. Hand sanitisers, wipes and sprays will be available throughout all Venues.

Social distancing:

Under no circumstances are attendees at Social Runs to enter non-public areas of Venues and must demonstrate social distancing requirements and remain 1.5 metres apart. Venues will arrange seating where appropriate to comply with this requirement. Masks should be used in accordance with government rules.

Briefing/Event Communication:

All pre-event briefings will be conducted at the beginning and during the event and/or via electronic means such as this communication.

Officials:

A nominated official of the Porsche Club of Victoria will be present at the event to ensure attendees adhere to these COVID-19 Requirements.

Attendees please follow all instructions given by Club Officials and Venue Staff during the event, as they have your best interests at heart.
