Winter Run to Queenscliff ‘360Q Restaurant’
Sunday 14 July 2019
The winter run takes us to the historic seaside resort of Queenscliff on the Bellarine Peninsula. Lunch will be at 360q which is part of the marina complex at Queenscliff and next to the Queenscliff/Sorrento ferry. The marina complex was built a few years back comprising marina berthing for boats, observation tower, shops and 360q restaurant which is right on the water with magnificent views to Swan Island, Port Phillip Bay through to the Port Phillip Heads. Our lunch is on the first floor of the restaurant, entry next to the tower. On arrival you will be offered a complimentary drink: beer, wine, bubbles or soft drink, with Canapés, followed by a two course lunch, alternate dishes, entree and main, with coffee and tea available, drinks to own account.
The run will commence at the Caltex service station, located outbound from Geelong before the Werribee bypass Princes Freeway. From Melbourne you will need to take the exit to Werribee just before the end of the bypass, over bridge to the Caltex service station. From here we will travel through country Victoria via Little River, Anakie, Maude to the Bannockburn CFA where we have had an excellent morning tea on previous occasions. From Bannockburn we will travel to Queenscliff via Moriac, Barwon Heads and Wallington. In Queenscliff we have been able to arrange special parking with the Marina harbour authority. So when you arrive please follow instructions as to where to park your car.
If you are looking for a sea voyage on you way home you might consider taking the Queenscliff/Sorrento ferry which is next door to 360q. You will then have completed a 360° trip around Port Philip Bay!
